Coke has a rival: RSS's cow urine cola The RSS has found something to give the popular colas and cold drinks a run for their money: bovine urine. The Sangh's Cow Protection Department is planning to produce a soft drink with this magic ingredient as base, and believes it will sweep the market. The head of the Hardwar-based department, Om Prakash, said: "We refer to gau ark (cow urine) as gau jal (cow water) as it has immense potential to cure various diseases. We have developed a soft drink formula with gau jal as the base and it has been sent to a laboratory at Lucknow for testing." Once the tests show positive results, he added, the department will think about its packaging, preservation and marketing. Anthrax জীবাণু : ভূমিকা : Anthrax- জীবাণু অর্থাৎ Bacillus anthracis আমাদের পরিবেশে দুইভাবে অবস্থান করে : ( ১ ) সক্রিয় অবস্থা (active/vegetative form) এবং ( ২ ) সুপ্ত অবস্থা (spore form/inactive form) এ দুই অবস্থার মধ্যে প্রথম অবস্থাটি আক্রান্ত প্রাণীদেহের অভ্যন্তরে থাকে এবং দ্বিতীয় অবস্থাটি (spore form) প্রাণীদেহের বাইরে এবং প্রকৃতিতে অবস্থান করে । spore form কখনোই প্রাণীদেহের অভ্যন্তরে থাকতে পারে না বা পাওয়া যায় না । কিন্তু এ spore form নিয়ে জীবাণুটি সম্পূর্ণ প্রতিকূল পরিবেশে , এমনকি Antarctica - তেও যুগ যুগ ধরে বা শতাব্দীর পর শতাব্দী বেঁচে থাকতে পারে । আরো উল্লেখ্য যে , প্রাণীদেহে জীবাণুটি এ spore form নিয়েই প্রবেশ করে এবং পর মুহূর্তেই তা vegetative/active form ধারণ করে । অতঃপর দ্রুত বংশবৃদ্ধি করে Anthrax রোগ ঘটায় । ফলশ্রুতিতে কয়েকদিন বা সপ্তাহখানেকের মধ্যেই আক্রান্ত প্রাণীটি মৃত্যুবরণ করে ( যদি চিকিৎসা করা না হয় ) । কাদের Anthrax হয় এবং এর বৈজ্ঞানিক ব্যাখ্যা কি ?
